Online cold process soap masterclass

Make your own soap slab of the provided design along with us online at home over google meeting & learn all the science & techniques about cold process soap-making. We will whatsapp you a list of affordable & reliable vendors/online websites to purchase all the raw materials & equipments within 24-48 hours after your booking. Later, the google meeting link will be shared on the day of the workshop on a whatsapp group of all participants.

We will get in touch with you within 24-48 hours, once you book, to guide you with purchasing raw materials & details about oils & lye solution preparation for the workshop.

• Understand the science of Saponification
• Learn a basic recipe & learn how to craft your own recipe
• Understand the lye calculator & further calculations
• How to safely handle lye & essential oils
• How to use natural colors & mica colors in soaps
• Learn various techniques to create unique soap designs & understand the design process
• Make your soap of the design shown here at home with us through a live demonstration
• Understand cutting, stamping, curing & storage of soaps

One day 1, we will send in a google meeting link for you to join the session 10 mins before the session starts. In the live session, we will explain about all the science & design techniques of cold process soaps with some Q&A sessions in between. We will also majorly explain how to make use the techniques you learned & convert them into beautiful designs.

The next step would be gearing up for starting to make the soap.

All of us will make the provided design together. Firstly, we will explain how to do calculations for this particular design. The reason we have selected this design isbecause it mostly covers all dierent techniques to design artisanal soaps. Then, we will demonstrate the soap making live & you can make the same soap along with us.

On the next day, we can join in again over a google meeting link & cut our soaps. You can share how your soap turned out on the screen & also see how your fellow participants soaps turned out too.

• Please note that the vendors list is a generic list that we use regularly for mud and moon soaps, & they deliver all across India. Please refrain from asking for our exact local vendors list.

• We reserve the right to say no to a question if we think its too personal or if its something that we have not committed in the deliverables of the workshop.

• This workshop is an introduction to the process of cold process soap making. Since everyone works in their own space, results may vary — and that’s completely a part of the learning. With practice, your soaps will only get better.

• While we will guide you through each step, Mud & Moon may not be able to take responsibility for individual outcomes or any mishaps during material handling. We encourage you to follow all instructions and safety measures carefully.

• This workshop focuses only on the craft of soap-making. We may briefly touch upon our experiences, but it is not designed as a business or marketing course.

• The recording shared after the session is for your personal learning. We kindly request you not to circulate it, as this helps us preserve the value of the craft and the effort behind the workshop.

• After the workshop, we’ll be available on the WhatsApp group for 15 days to support your queries. Please share your questions on the group so everyone can benefit. Responses may take up to 24–48 hours.

• Direct calls post-workshop are not part of the workshop support, but we’ll ensure you feel guided through the group.

I attended an online workshop with Mud & Moon on the 29th of May . Online workshop cannot be easy especially if you learning to make a cold processed soap from the scratch. The trainer not only shared the list of ingredients and vendors and the process in advance but on the day of the workshop she spent a good amount of time doing a presentation on cold processes soaps and conducted Q&A answering all the questions patiently and politely . Unfortunately I could not attend the practical workshop due to some emergency but the video shared the next day was so much in detail that i managed to pull of the soap bar on my own with the guidance from the video . Post that the next day during the soap unmoulding and cutting more questions were answered. Was a fruitful session but I would love to do an offline workshop with Dhvani soon 🤞
